These big fashion hairstyles of the 1960’s were a huge deal back then, but unfortunately for them, they didn’t survive the following decade, when the trends of the 70’s took the whole world by surprise.
Fashion is always a big component of society, and whether we like to admit it or not, it affects our lives and our style, so subtle, we don’t even notice it most of the times. We tend to think that what we like to wear or how me choose our hairstyle is our original choice, without any external inspiration whatsoever.
Unfortunately, these big fashion hairstyles of the 1960’s prove us wrong, showing us that we’re just a bunch of copycats trying to fit in with the trends of our time. If we were so original and completely not fashion-based, how come we don’t see these incredibly weird (weird now, trendy back then) hairstyles now?
The answer is very simple. We want to fit in, and in doing so, we’re capable of doing whatever it takes, even changing our hairstyle into this ridiculous monstrosity!
