The Queen, Beyonce, performed ‘Black Live Matter rallying cry” having all her backing dancers dressed as Black Panthers who demanded justice for Martin Woods, the African-American man who was shot dead by US policemen in San Francisco.
During the Super Bowl show, Beyonce and her dancers were all dressed in black and paid tribute to Malcom X, by showing the freedom salute and demanding justice for a lost black life – ‘justice 4 Martin Woods’.
Although the Super Bowl is the most important sporting event of the year, Beyonce managed to get all political in her show, and who can blame her? She had all the right reasons to do so and the results of her performance at the Super Bowl 50 were all that!
The Super Bowl was a very spectacular event, and while some complain that the show put on by Coldplay was very disappointing, Beyonce and Bruno Mars managed to step up the game and promote a very strong message, while entertaining the crowds.
The Black Panthers were an armed group who thought in the black power movement during the 60’s and 70’s and they rigorously followed the teachings and ideas of Malcolm X, trying to overcome oppression.
Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, posted a picture of herself and the ‘Black Panther’ dancers while giving the black power salute at the Super Bowl.
