It’s December right? Christmas is just days away, but trees and flowers are beginning to bloom in Washington DC. Well, it’s not that surprising given that 2015 was the warmest year on record with 7 out of 11 months breaking the record. We all know by now why this is happening so it’s no point in telling it to you again.
With the capital city having temperatures exceeding 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius), it’s no wonder flowers are blooming in late December. After cherry trees started blooming in November, roses, irises, azaleas and even vegetables have reportedly been blooming in Washington DC… and it’s not just DC. Twitter’s going crazy posting pictures of blooming plants, which should just not happen in the middle of winter.
