great career

Larry Smith is a professor of economics at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Besides teaching he also coaches and mentors his students into starting their own businesses and helps them discover what they truly love doing. One of the best known start-ups he mentored right from the start was Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry.

He also was a guest speaker at TED-Talks, discussing the many reasons why we will fail to have a great career. He managed to asses all the issues surrounding this subject and makes us think and ask ourselves some really deep and personal questions. He talks about the many excuses we tell ourselves to not do what we love and ending up later on in our lives to blame our families for not allowing us to follow our dreams which we were too scared to do in the first place.

A truly inspiring video which we hope you will enjoy and maybe will change your perspective on things.
