Back on September 11, 2006 a monument resembling a broken tower and a teardrop was revealed in Bayonne Peninsula in New Jersey. This was a gift from Russia for the American people, commemorating those who lost their lives on 9/11.

The 100 ft. sculpture officially called “Memorial To The Struggle Against World Terrorism” was designed by Zurab Tesereteii and has the names of all who were in the towers during that faithful day and who didn’t come out alive.

Not many are aware of this teardrop monument even though it got nationwide coverage. Nevertheless, it shows that when tragedy strikes, people who you not always see eye to eye with, are by your side, showing their support.
