Tattoo Stereotypes Explored Through A Nude Portraits Book
Tattoo stereotypes are being explored through a nude portraits book created by photographer Alan Powdrill. He decided to start this project after growing up in a part of the world where tattoos were not that common.
His project is called “COVERED” and it’s currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter.
“How does the way we view these people change when we discover the ink on their skin beneath?” Alan Powdrill asks. “Do we change our attitude to the housewife when we discover a huge tiger across her back and bum? Is the suited civil servant seen differently after the massive skull on his chest is revealed?”
