Tactical hand signals are something that every doomsday prepper needs to know. Knowing these tactical hand signals can help everyone, not just preppers, but still. Anyway, this is a form of communication used by the military to communicate with each other in times when silence is of the utmost importance.
When radio silence is put in place because the enemy is too close, soldiers within the US Army often use these signals to communicate with each other. With the use of these tactical hand signals, military commanders such as team leaders, squad leaders, platoon leaders, etc…, use them to keep control of their squad, while not actually revealing their location.
All new recruits need to know these signals by heart and to know how to use and understand them in context properly. In fact, these tactical hand signals are found in their Field Manual. It is also not uncommon for different squads to develop their own unique variation of these signals – somewhat similar to how languages formed differently from a common base.
