“Religious Icons taking controversial selfies” is definitely a courageous series of illustrations that will spark some conflict, sooner or later. People, people, let’s not get our panties in a twist, this is all in the name of fun. Turkish painter and designer Gunduz Agayev wants to show the whole world that anybody can make fun about anything, without being a bad person.
These illustrations entitled “Holy Selfie” are trying to portray religious icons, prophets and holy people as your average day regular person and what better way to do that than having them taking selfies.
It’s pretty fair to imagine that if Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha and Moses would have gotten together for a brunch, they would have taking at least one selfie together and possibly even posting it in their scriptures and holy books.
Who took the best selfie in your opinion?
