A busy city like Los Angeles with empty freeways might look like a scene from a post apocalyptic movie. Believe it or not, there is a time of the day when the freeways are empty.
Over the past 2 years, photographer Alex Scott has been shooting unusual photographs of Los Angeles’ streets. The photographs feature Los Angeles with empty Freeways, which is both unusual and kind of creepy.
To achieve this performance without image retouching/manipulation (without photoshopping), Alex wanders the streets of L.A. during the night, and conceives his shots.
Some pictures might require a few seconds to obtain, others need longer then 4 hours of careful planning and waiting for the perfect moment.
“What makes my photos unique is that there isn’t a single car in any of them, which is unheard of in LA — the city of cars and home to the worst traffic in the U.S.”
A few of the pictures showing his artwork can be seen in the next pages:
Alex wants to publish his work in a photo book, and in order raise the necessary funds, he has an active kickstarter campaign so feel free to support the artist.
