GPS trackers reveal your cat’s adventures at night and boy, oh boy, are you in for a big surprise! In case you thought that your cat purrs quietly besides you while you sleep, think again! Your cat is one adventurous soul that loves exploring the whole neighborhood, the whole town and even the surrounding woods.

Don’t worry, your cat always manages to find her way back home.

A recent research conducted with GPS trackers showed the daily movement of pet cats. The results came as a real shock for all the owners, and after seeing the GPS maps, you’ll start wondering what the cat dragged in too…

“When you speak to a lot of cat owners they say: “Oh my cat just sleeps on the end of my bed, it doesn’t go anywhere,” senior land service officer Peter Evans said. Well, that’s almost never true! In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Some cats even go 2 miles (3 km) away from home. “I thought Semi particularly would be just local — bottom of the garden or next door’s yard,” says one of the pet owners. His cat went “over the hill and far away.” The cat owner thinks his cat is “looking for food which is probably the primary thing because he’s usually around eight and a half kilos which [the vet says] is far, far too heavy.”
