France passes law for all new rooftops, making green roofs with plants or solar panels mandatory! Good job, France! We must say!
Just a few days after France passed another extremely positive law that forces all big supermarkets to give their unsold food to charity, the French did it again by making green roofs mandatory for all the new buildings that are constructed in commercial zones.
Green roofs come with many advantages, both in regards to conserving the environment as well as offering numerous pluses for the economic sector. These eco-friendly rooftops have an isolating effect that leads to a lower energy consumption to heat buildings during the winter, and to cool them during the summer.
All of France’s new rooftops will have to be built with a “green layer” of plants or with solar panels and this is just another step that will raise awareness on how man should be treating Mother Nature.
Good job, France! You’re setting an example!
