Florida Is Getting A 450-Foot Giant Guitar As Its New Hard Rock Hotel
Florida will be the proud owner of a 450-foot high giant guitar. This will actually be the new Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. There are already preparations underway to celebrate the new building. This will be a 638-room hotel shaped in the form of a giant guitar.
In fact, its actual shape is made out to look like two guitars, back to back, coming fully equipped with a 41,000-square-foot spa complex for guests to enjoy. This is a design made by James F. Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming and Chairman of Hard Rock International. “I said, ‘We are talking about a building that is actually shaped like a guitar,’ ” Allen shared at a preview event. “This is another time in my life when people thought I was certifiably crazy.”
Now, however, his vision is finally turning into reality. “We think the architectural design in itself creates an amazing attraction,” he said. “There is truly, with zero exaggeration, nothing like it in the world.”
The giant guitar hotel is set to open in 2019 and will cost $1.5 billion to build. This expansion will double the number of rooms and gaming space of the casino. Besides having the pleasure of staying at the hotel, the guests will also be able to swim in the 10-acre pool complex, that is part of the entire project. This part of the hotel will include private cabanas, butler service, multiple waterfalls and all sorts of various sports. While everything will be unfolding, Allen hopes to be able to attract large-scale productions to his giant guitar hotel, and in time, he hopes that it will become an international entertainment destination for all sorts of art projects, such as music festivals and everything related.
