The GOT Ice Palace is made from 22,000 tons of snow and 400 tons of ice and it’s situated in Kittilä, which is a 1h 30′ flight away from Finland’s capital, Helsinki. So you shouldn’t have too many problems reaching the “North”.
The entire concept is a yearly tradition in Finland, where every winter villages build their own Ice Palaces, based on different themes. This year, Game of Thrones was the theme chosen by this little town and in order to make this amazing ice palace, sculptures were brought from Latvia, Russia, Poland and Ukraine.
