This Artist Adapts Divas From The Past To Modern Day Beauty Standards
Mat Maitland is a collage artist and CD at Big Active, and his thing is adapting past divas to modern day beauty standards. Not only are his works provocative and subtle at the same time, but they really manage to put things in perspective.
Beauty is timeless, beauty standards have a time stamp however. We can’t say that past divas are not attractive, but with small nudges and a few twitches here and there, the artist captures the pure essence of current beauty trends.
Duck lips, the duck face and Instagramish ways to pose are just few of the features missing from a vintage babe’s inventory, but luckily for us, we get to see these small differences while trying to see what was adapted to our times.
