The Disco Era Captured In All Its Might And Glory
The disco era captured in all its might and glory is a testament from the past of how New York’s nightlife used to look like in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Studio 54 and Le Jardin were the hottest places to party in New York and they were regularly frequented by celebrities of all kinds.
Waring Abbott managed to capture the pure essence of the disco era, from its early beginnings and all the way down to its decline in the early 80s.
“Psychologically I reach a climax,” said a DJ in a 1976 UPI report based on the spread of disco throughout the US and the rest of the world. Another DJ mentioned: “To get 2,000 people into one mood, it’s just tremendous.” And they couldn’t be more correct!
