Couple builds charming cabin out of recycled windows for just $500 and we can honestly say that this is one of those houses you dream about having/building when you are little.
The cabin was built by photographer Nick Olson and his partner Lilah Horwitz, who is a designer. Their charming DIY cabin is located in the mountains of West Virginia, and has a splendid view over a lake, hills and mountain tops.
Most of the materials that were used in building this very cozy home were salvaged from an abandoned barn located near by, and the total cost for creating this cabin with recycled windows is $500 and several months of work.
“We were able to make it a reality because we are first artists and creators. We had to be resourceful to do it cheaply,” said Olson.
Having such a beautiful view, with a house that has one entire wall made out of windows, is definitely something everybody can enjoy, and for just $500, you can start building one by yourself. Just be sure to check out the right places for anything that can be salvaged and used for the construction.
