These backpackers will carry their paralyzed friend across Europe to fulfill his lifelong dream. True friendship goes a long way and this is one of the most remarkable examples in the world.

A group of friends from the US have vowed to carry their suffering friend on their backpacking trip across Europe. Kevan Chandler from Florida suffers from muscular atrophy, making him incapable of walking.

This is where his awesome friends kick in! They decided to surprise Kevan by taking him backpacking across Europe, as this is his lifelong dream. The group will visit Ireland, England and France, while carrying their friend on backpacks, specially designed to fit Kevan Chandler.

Tom Troyer, Philip Keller, and Benjamin Duvall will carry Kevan in turns. Due to his muscular atrophy, Kevan only ways 65 lbs. The group will film and document their entire journey across Europe with the help of filmmaker Luke Thompson.

This is not the group’s first shot at taking Kevan with them on a road trip. They got the idea of backpacking across Europe with Kevan after they went with him on an urban exploration, through the sewers of Greensboro, North Carolina.

The group also created a website where people can get in touch with them and follow their amazing journey. Also, if you are interested in making a donation for their cause, you can visit their GoFundMe page.

They will be leaving for Europe on June 19 and Kevan can hardly wait to see his lifelong dream come true. The website features all the destinations Kevan would like to see on this amazing backpacking road trip, like Samois Ser Siene in France, Kensington Gardens in London, where Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie lived, and the island of Skellig off the coast of Ireland, the place of the most remote sixth century monastery which is inaccessible to people in wheelchairs.
