Here’s The Point Of View Of A 19-Month-Old Using A Camera For The First Time
Two parents had the brilliant idea of giving their 19-month-old son a camera for the first time to see what he’ll do with it and what pictures will he manage to capture. They basically wanted to see how their son sees the world, from his point of view. No matter how small or short it may be.
These two parents gave Stan, their baby boy, an old Canon G12 photo camera just to see what he’ll do with it. After quickly mastering the ‘machine’, Stan started taking photos of whatever tickled his fancy. A lot of the pictures involve his feet, parts of his mom and parts of his dad and also the family dog.
“Stan has learned how to use a camera and to shout out cheese as he presses the shutter. He has a few of my old crappy point and shoot film cameras in his toy box to play with, but today I gave him my Canon G12.” wrote his parents on BoredPanda.
“It was probably a tip top camera back in the day but by today’s standards it’s not the best. He wandered round the house and garden snapping away saying ‘cheese’ at everything. He even managed to switch the settings to ‘sepia’ at one point. I’m guessing he was feeling a bit pretentious and wanted to change the style of his shots.” they added.
We’ve seen what happens when a dog gets a camera that takes pictures based on heartbeats attached to him and we loved it. We can only imagine that putting a camera on a baby will be slightly more interesting, and from a point of view a few inches higher.
“He looks through the viewfinder as well rather than use the LCD screen on the back. After he had finished and started to press all the buttons to see what they did I whacked the memory card in the MacBook and had a look at the pics. He did pretty well! What do you think? Is he any good? Is the dude a phot in the making or should he hang the camera up now and get back to watching Paw Patrol and colouring in? As he walked around, I grabbed a few on my iPhone as well. FAQ: The grass is fake it’s a brand called Tiger Turf. The dining room table was from Habitat. Here they are” JonesMrJones, Stan’s parents, added on BoredPanda.
