Mozart Has Sold More CDs in 2016 Than Beyoncé
Mozart has sold more CDs in 2016 than Beyoncé and this just proves to show you that class never dies, nor does classical music and style. To be fair, if you’re buying a CD in 2016, you’ve probably been a fan of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart since before he was famous. Not judging, just saying.
With Youtube, Spotify, iTunes and whatever, you name it, buying CDs or DVDs seems less and less like something the young generation would be interested in. This is possibly one of the main reasons why one of the greatest composers of all time, Mozart (27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791), sold more CDs than Beyonce, who is still very much active today and who still has many years ahead in her career.
Released in October 2016, ‘Mozart 225: The New Complete Edition‘ is a 200-disc collection of the classic composer’s entire musical creations. Everything included! Symphonies, concertos and even little sketches of his work are all present in this catalog of classical music created by the eternal Mozart.

The entire collection of music goes for $300, and although it may seem pricey, considering the number of hours you can listen to pure classical music without pause, we’d say it’s definitely a bargain! And we’re not alone! This collection has sold better than Beyonce, Adele, David Bowie and Kanye West. Yes, even Kanye West.
6,200 units have been sold so far, but taking into account the hundreds of CDs contained in every set, Mozart has sold 1.25 million discs in 2016, placing his name in history again and again. Interested in listening to some classical music now?
